Summary: What happens when we die? What is actually Holy? How does love live forever? 'A Finger, Two Dots Then Me' takes a stab at some of these questions from the perspective of a dying old man and the memories he takes with him to the grave. Written and performed by Derrick Brown, this spoken-word piece is based on his most popular work that has been performed around the world in tiny backroom stages and massive rock and roll arenas. Brown describes the inspiration behind the work:

'I guess people love this poem the most. Maybe it explains what happens to us when we die in a way that might seem possible. Actually, I have no idea why this one is the most popular. This was written after I had read an article about a father who laid out a blanket for himself and his son in a park by my house, then planned on killing his son with a shotgun, he tried killing himself but screwed it up and lived. I wanted to coat the wickedness of that scene with something romantic and kind of funny so the park won't hold that memory for me. Beauty is born from tragedy.'

Brown collaborates with award-winning directors David and Daniel Holechek whose film credits include '305' (2008, A&E Spotlight Award), 'Obedience' (2009) 'Moya' (2010, best film, Renderyard Film Festival) as well as a host of television credits. The combined power of haunting words and striking visuals create a unique and moving piece.
